General information, not legal advice
The guides, talks and pages on this site explain how intellectual property law generally works. They aren’t advice about your situation, and the law and fees can change after we write them.
We’re your lawyers only once we both sign
Reading this site, watching a talk, sending a message or booking a call doesn’t make Yarbrough & Baek your lawyers. That starts only when we both sign an engagement letter that describes the work.
Past matters
Anything we say about earlier filings or deals describes those matters only. Every application is examined on its own, and we can’t promise that a mark, work or invention will be registered or granted.
Keep secrets out of the contact form
Please don’t use the contact form or email to describe an unfiled invention or other confidential details. Messages sent before we’re engaged may not be treated as confidential. Save them for the call.
Where we practice
Our lawyers’ bar admissions are listed on their pages. Trademark, copyright and patent filings are federal; for questions of state law outside the states we’re admitted in, we’ll refer you to a local lawyer.
